BRONCHITIS

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the airways of the lung, mainly caused by viral or bacterial infection. The symptoms of bronchitis are severe cough with green or yellow phlegm, shortness of breath and wheezing.
For this, you can try licking honey on an empty stomach,as it helps to cleanse phlegm from your body and remove dangerous substance from your stomach. Honey is also good for your liver and kidneys.

When I was young my mother used to steam eggs  to be eaten with congee / moey. It somehow created a pleasant feeling after taking the moey (rice with water). You can make this food therapy by taking an egg and  add a half cup of water and a tablespoon of honey. Beat the mixture well and steam for five minutes in a bowl.

In addition to that, you can also drink Minuman Herba which is available in sachets. Minuman Herba consists of Hydrocoytle Asiatica, which can be purchased at RM20 per 35 sachets. Put a sachet of MH in a cup and add some warm water , almost to the brim. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Before drinking it, add 3 drops of honey and stir well.

Al Quran , Surah 16 - AL-NAHL (The Bee)
Revealed about 1432 years ago.
16:68
And your Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations;
16:69
Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought.
16:70
It is Allah Who creates you and takes your soul at death; and of you there are some who are sent back to a feeble age, so that they know nothing after having known (much): for Allah is All -knowing, All-powerful.

Easy Sambal Udang Petai

Sometimes we crave for certain food and want to eat it as soon as possible. It is easy if we have some ingredients readily available in the refrigerator. Today, I will share with you my healthy version of sambal udang petai which taste and smell good ( to my children, anyway). I am one who do not have the time to properly weigh my ingredients but just chuck them in and improvise accordingly.

Ingredients:
1 onion / big shallot
1 lobe of garlic
3-5 pieces of red chillies / dried chillies (depending on how spicy you want it to be)
a teaspoon of belacan
a cup of water

Put the ingredients above in a blender and press away.

Pour the finely blended ingredients into a pan and let it boil.
Then after it simmers, add the following:

a small handful of petai (slice into 2 pieces)
10-15 pieces of prawns (take out the veins and head)
Add assam keping or 1/2 cup of tamarind juice.
To make it smell better, add some kaffir lime leaves / daun limau purut.
Remember to add salt for taste and about 2 spoons of brown sugar.

Let it simmer for  a few more minutes and it's ready! You can eat it with rice if it is soupy or bread if it is thick.
